YBC Resolution Service: A Smarter Way to Settle Business Disputes

Business disputes don’t start with court papers — they start with stress, uncertainty and unanswered questions.

YBC Resolve is an independent, confidential dispute resolution service delivered through Your Business Community and supported by We-Resolve.

Whether you are a YBC member or not, both parties are invited to join the process on equal terms and benefit from a calm, practical way forward.

Neutrality and fairness are core to this service — mediators do not take sides and all parties participate on equal footing.

A Partnership for Your Peace of Mind

Disagreements happen in business — over contracts, payments, partners and teams. These disputes drain time, focus and energy.

YBC Resolve provides a calm, structured way to explore a solution before matters escalate to legal action.

We help you:

  • find a way forward faster

  • reduce cost and disruption

  • preserve relationships

  • keep focus on growth

This service is designed to be accessible, clear, and independent for both parties involved in a dispute.

How We Help You Find a Resolution

Through YBC Resolve, you gain access to experienced and impartial mediators who guide both sides towards practical outcomes.

Our focus is on supporting constructive conversations, not assigning blame.

What you can expect:

  • Clear, easy-to-understand process — guidance from first contact to outcome

  • Confidential and private — discussions held in a safe space

  • Cost-effective alternative to litigation — fewer surprises, fairer costs

  • Solutions that fit your business reality — not a judge’s ruling

Membership in YBC is not a requirement for participation — but we offer complimentary membership to non-members who join the mediation process, so both sides feel equally supported.

How It Works: Your Four-Step Path to Resolution

We have designed a simple, clear, and supportive process to guide you from your initial enquiry to a successful outcome.

Step 1: Contact Us in Confidence
When a dispute arises that you can’t solve alone, the first step is to get in touch. Use the dedicated contact form on the YBC members' portal or email us directly. All communications are completely confidential.

Step 2: Get a No-Obligation Advisory Call
One of our resolution professionals from We-Resolve will contact you to listen and understand the situation. This initial call is to assess whether mediation is a suitable path, explain the process, and answer your questions.

Step 3: Arrange a Mediation Session
If all parties agree to proceed, we handle all the logistics. We will coordinate a suitable time and a neutral venue (either online or in-person) and assign a fully accredited mediator with relevant experience for your case.

Step 4: Work Towards a Resolution
The mediation session is a structured, facilitated conversation. The mediator guides all parties to explore the issues and find a mutually agreeable solution. If an agreement is reached, it is written down into a formal document that can be made legally binding.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between mediation and legal action?

Mediation is a collaborative process where a neutral third party helps you find your own solution. It's quicker, more affordable, and less adversarial than legal action, where a judge imposes a decision. Mediation focuses on preserving relationships and finding practical business solutions.

How long does it take to resolve a dispute?

While every case is different, most business disputes brought to mediation are successfully resolved in a single day. The entire process, from first contact to resolution, is significantly faster than the months or years litigation can take.

Is a mediated agreement legally binding?

If you reach an agreement, the terms will be written down in a settlement document. This document can be signed by all parties to become a legally binding contract, giving you certainty and peace of mind.

What do I need to prepare for mediation?

You don't need to prepare a formal legal case. The main requirement is to come with an open mind and a willingness to find a solution. It can be helpful to think about the key issues, what a successful outcome would look like for you, and any relevant documents.

Is the process confidential?

Yes, completely. Confidentiality is a cornerstone of mediation. Everything said during the process is treated with the strictest privacy and cannot be used in future legal proceedings, creating a safe space for honest discussion.

Does the other party have to agree to mediation?

Yes. Mediation is a voluntary process, so both sides must agree to participate. During your initial call, our advisor can discuss effective ways to invite the other party to the table, highlighting the mutual benefits of resolving the issue quickly and affordably.

Do we have to meet in person?

No. We offer both in-person and secure online mediation sessions. We will work with all parties to find the most convenient and effective format for your specific situation.

What if the mediator has a conflict of interest?

All our mediators are bound by a strict professional code of conduct. They must declare any potential conflict of interest. We ensure the mediator assigned to your case is completely impartial and has no connection to any party involved.
